On August 2, 2023, Li Shu taught at the 63rd director and supervisor training program of China Coal Technology and Engineering Group’s party school. The course addressed management duties, powers and board operations. Nearly 100 directors, supervisors, board secretaries and other personnel from the group and its companies participated, including remote attendees.
Topics included the respective powers of the board, supervisory body and management, special duties and risks for directors, and procedures for board operations and resolutions.
Drawing on governance cases and the company law amendments then under consideration, Li Shu shared practical approaches to proper performance of duties and board processes.
