On 9 October 2024, Li Shu taught at China Coal Technology and Engineering Group’s 70th training program for directors and supervisors. His session covered the duties and powers of directors, supervisors and senior managers and the operation of boards. Relevant directors, supervisors and board secretaries attended in person, while more than 400 headquarters and subsidiary personnel joined online.
Using cases, Li Shu explained the respective powers of boards, supervisory bodies and management under the new Company Law. He discussed particular duties and risks arising in directors’ work, board procedures and the validity of resolutions.
The session focused on the proper exercise of powers and improvements to board operating mechanisms, providing practical reference points for the lawful performance of responsibilities and stronger corporate governance.
