On 17 April 2025, a team comprising Li Shu, founding partner of Beijing YunTing Law Firm, and senior counsel Cheng Xiting delivered training for China Railway Electrification Bureau Group First Engineering Co., Ltd. The programme, “Corporate Contract Practice and Risk Prevention—with a Focus on Construction Contract Management,” was attended by more than 60 legal personnel, departmental compliance coordinators and project commercial managers from the company and its branches.
Training topics
Using practical examples, Li Shu explained the role of contracts, methods and skills for contract review, rules governing contract execution and performance, and compliance management for engineering general contracts.
The session examined general contracting arrangements, back-to-back clauses and issues arising at the tendering, signing and final-account settlement stages. It also addressed approaches to managing contractual compliance risks in state-owned enterprises.
Practical value
According to the source report, participants said the training deepened their understanding of construction contract management, particularly legal risks in subcontracting and supply arrangements that affect project cost control.
